What You Could Do

To work as a dental assistant in South Caroline, you much be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the United States.

Dental assistants should be prepared to perform a variety of tasks on behalf of patients and as part of our team of dental professionals. Those duties could include:

  • Assisting chairside during basic treatments
  • Applying topical medication under the direction of a dentist
  • Recording vital signs (e.g. blood pressure, pulse, and respiration)
  • Charting the condition of a patients oral health, including missing teeth and the location of any restorations.
