We often bring speakers to our office to educate us on the latest dental innovations and developments, and we study with other professionals for advanced training.
Charli has worked in our practice since 2017. She is certified in CPR and dental terminology. She enjoys greeting patients at the front desk and making them feel welcome as soon as they walk through the door. She is mother to an adventurous toddler and loves spending time with him.
Breanna worked in customer service for more than three years before she joined our team in 2019. Since then, she has been enjoying learning more about dentistry and the day-to-day activities of our business office. She is finishing her degree in business administration at Francis Marion University. Away from work she loves being outdoors and spending time with her dogs.
Kelly has been involved in the dental field since 2010 and joined our practice in 2016. She is certified in CPR and has completed training with the Scheduling Institute. One of our skilled insurance specialists, she loves making patients smile with her great customer service skills. A mother of two young boys, she enjoys hiking and being outdoors.
Ashley has an associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Florence-Darlington Technical College. She is certified in local anesthesia and CPR and is a Colgate Oral Health Advisor. Her experience encompasses pediatrics, a community health center, and a correctional facility. She was drawn to a career in dentistry so she could educate people on the importance of a confident, healthy smile. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is how smiles are unique to every person, much like a fingerprint. Her volunteer activities include Give Kids A Smile, America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive, Dental Access Days, and Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures. She also speaks at Career Day at Spaulding Middle School. Her favorite activities away from work include planning activities with family and friends, shopping, and decorating for small events.
Jean has been a registered dental hygienist for more than 40 years. A graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College, she is certified in CPR and OSHA and continues to stay updated on changes in the dental field. Her favorite part of the job is meeting people and helping steer patients on their roads to dental health. She has three children and three grandchildren and loves spending time with all of them at the lake.
A 2009 graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College, Destiny was inspired to enter the dental field based on her own early unpleasant experiences at the dentist. Because of this, helping patients overcome anxiety is especially important to her. In addition, she especially enjoys educating patients about the importance of healthy gums and how it relates to their overall health. She volunteers at local nursing homes, where she teaches residents how to properly brush their teeth. Away from the office, she spends a lot of time cheering for her sons at baseball and football games. Other favorite pastimes are chalk painting and distressing furniture.
Shannon has been working in dentistry since the late 1980s, primarily as a dental assistant. She joined our team in 1998 and works mostly with Dr. Visel. She is married with two grown daughters and a precious granddaughter. Her hobbies include gardening, baking, and visiting the beach.
Lorie has been a dental assistant since 2012 and joined our team in 2018. A graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College, she is certified by the Dental Assisting National Board and also holds certifications in CPR, dental radiology, and OSHA. She loves making our patients smile. Her hobbies include shopping, spending time outdoors, and watching TV, especially when family and friends are involved.
A dental assistant since 2017, Danielle came to our practice in 2018. She received a certificate in expanded duty dental assisting from Florence-Darlington Technical College. She is certified in CPR, dental radiology, and OSHA. Her favorite part of the job is helping patients overcome their dental fears. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially with her family and her animals.
Serena began working with us in 2018, shortly after becoming involved in dentistry. She has since earned her certificate in dental radiology and is working toward her dental assistant certification. She has always enjoyed helping people feel better about themselves and loves being part of the process that results in people regaining their confidence through their smile. Away from the office, she enjoys trail riding her horses, dancing, hunting, and going on adventures with her family and her dog.
Alex has been working at Advanced Dental Center since 2004. In addition to his great head for business, Alex has an artistic side too, with a bachelor’s degree in English, philosophy, and art. He enjoys helping meet our patients’ dental needs by first seeking to understand and then to be understood. He enjoys providing for his family, both physically and spiritually. He especially treasures helping his grandson grow up to become a fine young man.
Chastity is a certified dental assistant who has been working at our Florence, SC practice since 2015. She is also a registered medical assistant who is certified in CPR. Helping people is her favorite part of the job. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially if it involves riding motorcycles or watching football.
A certified dental assistant in South Carolina and Mississippi, Debbie has been working in dentistry for almost 30 years. She joined our team in 2015. She is also a certified phlebotomist and holds certifications in CPR, sedation monitoring, and dental radiology. She has received training in mini dental implants. Her favorite part of her job is helping people smile again. In her free time, she enjoys camping and hiking, especially at state parks. She also likes running 5Ks, working out at the gym, and watching college football.
Denise has been a dental hygienist since 2005, working since 2006 at our Florence, SC office. A registered hygienist, she’s licensed in local filtration anesthesia. She is certified in CPR and OSHA and has received training in mini dental implants and infection control in a dental setting. Her favorite part of the job is helping people overcome dental fear so they enjoy coming to the dentist. She considers her patients more than just patients, thanks to the long relationships she has with many of them. Away from work, she likes just about anything to do with sun and water, such as days spent at the lake, beach, or pool. She also enjoys crafting.
Elizabeth has been a dental assistant since 2010, working in our Florence, SC office since 2012. She is an expanded duties dental assistant, which means she can perform duties such as applying dental sealants or monitoring inhaled sedation. She has received training in mini dental implants and straight wire orthodontics. She enjoys changing our patients’ fears and insecurities into confidence with the help of her work “family.” Her hobbies include traveling, trying new foods, watching football and baseball, and spending time outside with her family and friends.
Freda graduated from Florence-Darlington Technical College and is certified by the Dental Assisting National Board. She has been involved in dentistry since 2008 and has been a part of our team since 2012. She especially enjoys working with new technology and learning new dental techniques. She has received training in CEREC, Six Month Smiles orthodontics, and mini dental implants. Her hobbies include shopping, traveling, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
Kasie worked as a surgical technologist in an oral surgeon’s office before becoming a dental hygienist. She’s been part of our team since 2010. She holds certifications in CPR and OSHA. She is licensed in local filtration anesthesia and inhaled sedation administration. She is also involved in the diagnosis and management of periodontal disease. Her hobbies include spending time with her husband and two children, especially if it involves riding motorcycles. She also enjoys home improvement projects and organizing charitable events.
Lindsey has been working in dentistry since 2007 and at our Florence, SC practice since 2016. She is certified in CPR and radiology. She likes making our patients smile. She enjoys spending time with her family and treasures her new role as a mother.
A registered dental hygienist, Luanne has been licensed since 1978. She’s been a part of our team since 2007. Certified in CPR and OSHA, she’s licensed in local infiltration anesthesia and inhaled sedation administration. She has received training in infection control and in diagnosing and managing periodontal (gum) disease. She enjoys making her patients feel good by cleaning their teeth and educating them on dental home care. She treasures time spent with her family, especially if it involves the lake or the beach. She also likes doing yard work.
Patsy has been working for our practice since 2015. In addition to being a certified massage therapist, she’s also a personal trainer and a hair braiding stylist. She loves meeting people from all walks of life and making a difference in their lives through her work. Massage not only helps relax patients; it eases their tension and anxiety and changes their state of mind. She is also a phlebotomist who is experienced in CPR and medical coding. In her free time, she enjoys singing in her church choir, traveling, spending time with her family, shopping, and playing both online and board games. Most of all, though, she likes to relax and read her Bible, to reflect on how she can be a servant of God in all that she does. She always strives to be a better person than she was the day before.

A dental assistant since 1977, Robin has worked with our team since 1980. She is certified in CPR and dental radiology and has completed advanced training in mini dental implants. She loves being part of our team and helping our patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially if it involves the beach, the lake, or watching her son play baseball. She treasures her time with her family.
Shelli has been in dentistry and working with the Advanced Dental Center team since 2000. She is certified in CPR and dental radiology and also certified to use an AED defibrillator. She has received training through the Scheduling Institute and also in mini dental implants. She finds it fulfilling to change a patient’s life for the better by fixing their smile. She also enjoys working with her talented team members. A mother of three, she loves spending time with her family when not at work, especially if it involves visiting the river. She’s also a Clemson football fan.
