Rebuild Your Smile With A Same-Day Crown

smile_makeover_2 Advanced Dental Center of Florence, SC | Dr. Joseph Griffin

You wanted your smile to look complete. You wanted to be able to eat the foods that you love.

You also wanted to feel confident about smiling again.

With a CEREC same-day dental crown from Advanced Dental Center, you got all of those things … and it only took a few hours to get it.

It’s almost hard to believe how easy the process was. You made your appointment, stopped by the office, and when you left, your tooth looked as good as it ever has (if not better).

Don’t let this just be a story. Let us help you at our Florence, SC dental office. Call 843-627-4076 to make an appointment, so you can keep your smile for life!

Get What You Want Sooner

CEREC has changed the way patients get dental crowns. As we noted, you can get a crown in a single visit to our office. For anyone who has gotten crowns the “old way,” this may be a surprise.

With CEREC technology, we make a digital scan of your mouth. That scan is fed into computer software. That program is where the design for your new crown is developed. That design is sent to our in-office milling machine, which shapes a cube of porcelain or zirconia into your crown.

While this is happening, your tooth is reshaped to form an abutment that will support your crown. Keep in mind that crowns are one most versatile restorative services that we offer. You can use them to fix broken, cracked, chipped, decayed, discolored, misshapen, undersized, and worn-down teeth.

Your crown can be shaded to match the color of your natural teeth. This helps it blend in, so it looks like part of your natural smile.

Without CEREC, you could be waiting weeks before you get your new crown. Rather than a digital scan, you might find yourself in an office, biting down on a tray filled with goo to make an impression.

A dental lab would use that to create your crown. Depending on how far the lab is from the dentist office — and how many other orders came in before yours — you could be walking around with a temporary crown for weeks before your permanent crown is ready.

That also means you will need to make an extra dental appointment when your crown comes in. That’s more time off work and away from your family.

See It To Believe It

You may be wondering how long CEREC crowns last compared to lab-made crowns. We want to assure you that these same-day crowns have proven to be quite effective.

They are durable. The porcelain and zirconia used to make these crowns can last for several years with proper care. That means you need to keep brushing, flossing, and getting regular dental checkups, just like you would with any other crown.

These crowns also offer a level of flexibility you won’t get with other crowns. Here’s what we mean. If your crown isn’t quite right, we can make adjustments to it right here, right now, in our office. We don’t have to ship it back to the lab, further delaying your tooth replacement (and requiring yet another appointment).
